Privacy Policy

Little Watchlist ("we," "us") is a directory that helps parents and caregivers decide what to watch with their kids. This page explains what happens with your data when you use it.
The short version
- No accounts, no sign-up, no login -- anywhere on this site.
- Your watchlist lives only in your browser's local storage. We never see it or store it on a server.
- We use Google-provided analytics and ads, both described below, to keep the site running and to see how many people are visiting.
Your watchlist
Saved channels are stored in your browser's localStorage, not on our
servers. If you share a watchlist link, the list of saved channels is
encoded directly in the URL itself (after the #), which browsers never
send to any server -- it goes straight from your device to whoever you send
the link to. Clearing your browser data removes it completely; we have no
copy to restore it from.
Cookies and local storage
We set two small, non-identifying values so the site remembers your preferences between visits:
- A cookie and matching local-storage value for the child's age band you select on the home page (e.g. "3–4"), so the page can render the right recommendations without a flash of the wrong content.
- A local-storage value for light/dark mode.
Neither contains anything that identifies you personally.
Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics (a Google product) to count visits and see which pages are popular -- aggregate numbers only, never a per-visitor profile shown anywhere in the product. This is only active on public pages, never inside the admin console. Firebase Analytics uses cookies and similar technology provided by Google; see Google's Privacy Policy for how Google itself processes that data.
Advertising
Some pages (the home page and the browse page only -- never individual review pages) show ads served by Google AdSense. Every ad request on this site is explicitly marked non-personalized, which limits Google's use of your data for ad targeting. Google may still use cookies for basic ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services for details.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
- We don't require or store an email address, name, or any account information for any visitor.
- We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. This site is built for parents and caregivers to use on their child's behalf, not for a child to operate directly.
Third-party links
Every entry links out to the actual channel or show on YouTube, Netflix, or Disney+. Once you leave our site, that platform's own privacy policy applies -- we don't control what happens there.
